National Dance Day

When: Sat., July 27, 1-4 p.m. 2013
Price: Free
Feel like showing off your (questionably) killer dance moves? What about just getting in a respectable workout? Whatever your fancy, you can break out the leotards and leg warmers during National Dance Day at Founders Hall. This free event is part of a national campaign to encourage the nation, young and old, to get up and move. Launched by executive producer and judge of So You Think You Can Dance Nigel Lythgoe, this declared holiday has been moving feet across America since 2010. Instructors will be on site teaching groups a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop and jazz, set to music by artists like Bruno Mars, Jennifer Lopez and more. But don’t worry, these dances are choreographed with all abilities in mind. No pirouettes or leaps required.
