Native Tongues
This two-person exhibit with new works by Marcia Jones and John Hairston Jr. is going to be cool. That’s because both Q.C. artists have a way of pumping out paintings that capture energy in addition to being colorful, creative and intricate. Hairston, whose comic book-inspired works and free-style onsite artwork has earned him plenty of praise from us in the past, will feature nine new works in the show. He’s also collaborated with Jones for a special piece. Opening reception on Feb. 1. (Anita Overcash)
