Organ Concert

Dongho Lee, Associate Director of Music at Christ Church, will play the inaugural concert of the series “Beauty to be Heard.” Her program consists of a virtuosic French Prelude and Fugue by Dupré, a transcription of a piece originally written for clock organ by Mozart, the majestic Introduction and Passacaglia by German composer Rheinberger, a light-hearted Andante by Mendelssohn, and the exciting Variations on ‘America’ by Ives, especially meaningful at the 12th anniversary of 9-11. This will be a 45-minute program, showing all the different colors of the beautiful Neo-Baroque organ at Christ Church.
