Many Charlotteans remember Robert “Bob” Inman as a former anchorman for WBTV. Inman had a knack for tracking and sharing compelling news stories, but he left broadcasting back in 1996 to pursue his writing career and continue penning novels, screenplays and stage plays. His latest release, The Governor’s Lady, is a follow-up his 2002 novel Captain Saturday. The Governor’s Lady comes as a pleasant surprise for those with a love for Southern drama, politics and assertive women. Inman returns to Charlotte to sign and discuss the novel at Park Road Books on Aug. 29.
