This was probably the most hotly contested food category, with eight different eateries garnering votes for their milkshakes. And OK, so Steak ‘n’ Shake has really bad and corny commercials, but its decadent and delicious milkshakes more than make up for that. Hand-dipped and served the old fashioned way with real ice cream, Steak ‘n’ Shake offers a wide variety of flavors, as well as “Bits ‘n’ Pieces,” which features added M&M’s, peanut butter cups, chocolate chip cookie dough, or cookies & cream mixed into a shake. And in an effort to provide low-fat options to consumers, they now have “Fruit’n Frozen Yogurt Milkshakes” with flavors such as strawberry, strawberry banana and raspberry.
