Scott Slagle's Top Ten

For Play

For Scott Slagle, it was a natural progression for him to open up his own recording studio, as he's always been interested in the music industry. Located on Albemarle Road, Asylum Digital Recording Studios was born eight years ago, where they "record a good bit of local hip-hip, rock and R&B." In fact, the first song on Slagle's playlist is by an artist whom he just finished working with.

• "Windows" by Sweet Irene

• "Amsterdam" by Peter Bjorn & John

• "Follow, Follow" by Fela Kuti

• "A Walk With Thee" by Eddie Gale

• "Love Song # 7" by Clap Your Hands & Say Yeah

• "Some Unholy War" by Amy Winehouse

• "5 Minutes of Funk" by Whodini

• "Sea Legs" by The Shins
