SPECIAL EVENT: 11th Annual Plaza Midwood Pig Pickin'

The folks in Plaza Midwood sure do know how to throw a party. In its 11th year, the annual Plaza Midwood Pig Pickin' is proof of that. The block party in celebration of the 4th features food, drinks, live music (Belmont Playboys, Temperance League, Sea of Cortez, Aqualads and Modern Primitives), a rockabilly car show, a Cafe Racer motorcycle show and a Pin-Up girl fashion show. After-party at Snug Harbor with Alternative Champs. Held along Gordon Street between The Diamond and Snug Harbor. 4-11 p.m.; after-party, 11 p.m.
