Summer Guide 2002

In Search of Cool

It's no secret: Summer in Charlotte is as hot and humid as a sweaty armpit. The number one goal in this city is to find ways to cool off, whether it's slurping down a cool one on a restaurant patio or getting wet at a lake, pool or waterpark. Well, you're in luck: we're always keeping an eye out for cool things to do, whether it's a Jazzy Ladies film on the grounds of the Mint, learning to kayak on the Tuckasegee, heading to a big outdoor concert, or relaxing with some great summer reading. Summer Guide 2002: In Search of Cool combines all these and more, just so you can stay cool during the upcoming heat and mugginess. Have fun!
