WHEN PLOTTING MURDER, TURN off YOUR SPEAKER PHONE: A 20-year-old woman said she was in her apartment with a male friend when she overheard him talking to someone on the phone about her. Her friend and the other person were on speaker phone and she heard them say, "Kiesha will be dead. Don't worry about her, she'll be dead. I don't have to do it myself, I got people that'll do it for me."
WHERE IS JACK NICHOLSON WHEN YOU NEED HIM?: A 38-year-old man said he received several annoying calls from a male acquaintance one evening. The acquaintance kept calling and even threatened him saying, "Anger management is not gonna keep me from whipping your ass and next time I see you I'm gonna fuck you up."
THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT: An officer reported to the scene of a car accident on Freedom Drive where he found a 35-year-old man unconscious in the driver's seat. The man was drunk, so the officer arrested him and charged him with DWI before taking him to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Once at the hospital, the medics found a firearm hidden in his pants. The officer discovered that the gun was stolen and once the man was cleared from the hospital, he took him to jail.
FIGHT NIGHT: A 23-year-old man was partying at a night club with his friends. When he came out of the club, he said two guys where waiting outside for him with baseball bats. He got scared because they had threatened him before and he knew they wanted to hurt him, so he jumped in his truck and sped off. The two guys followed him, so he pulled into a gas station on E. Independence Boulevard for help. He said the guys drove by without stopping.
THREAT OF THE WEEK: A 26-year-old woman said her roommate's friend, who she doesn't get along with, came to their apartment and said that she was going to "whoop her ass" and "bust your head open if I ever see you out."
