Chattanooga’s The Bohannons are an undeniably Southern band. There’s something rusty and rural about their ’70s-tinged rock ‘n’ roll rollick. At the same time, though, they bring in glam pomp and theatrics and even an occasional Geddy Lee vocal quality, resulting in a sound that’s familiar, but not instantly comfortable. This band keeps listeners on their toes. Charlotte’s Elonzo brings gentler indie-Americana, resulting in a varied bill. (Corbie Hill)
