The (fashionably late) year in review: 2012

One last look back at the movies, books, restaurants and albums we loved (and in some cases, hated)

Some might say 2012 was a good year for Charlotte. The craft beer scene blew up. The Democratic National Convention came and went. The Panthers finished with a not-so-horrible record this season. The "end of the world" passed relatively quietly. Hell, Creative Loafing even celebrated a milestone - its 25th anniversary.

But 2012 was also good to the arts and entertainment industry. This week, Creative Loafing offers up its annual Year in Review issue.

Click the links below to see our picks for the best (and, in some cases, worst) in movies, music and books that came out last year. We also asked our resident food writer Tricia Childress to share her thoughts on Charlotte's restaurant scene in 2012.

As always, we welcome your comments and opinions. And if you really think The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 should have made Matt Brunson's Top 10 list, we won't judge you. We might laugh at you, but we definitely won't judge you.
