In 2005, this Boston hip-hop trio (now down to just the duo of Mr. Lif and Akrobatik) signed with Def Jux, the label and music collective of pre-Run the Jewels’ El-P. But the Perceptionists never followed up their dizzying debut Black Dialogue — until now. After life-threatening incidents in the years since their last collab, Lif and Akrobatik are back with Resolution, wherein they take on dirty politics, big Pharma and our powerlessness over life’s curve balls.
