We’re assuming these New York-based Savannah natives did not name their band for the kind of triathlon that combines running, swimming and cycling. It’s more likely for an indie-pop Olympics event comprised of swooning, shoe gazing and Zen-like contemplation. Soulful, serene vocals roll through warm analog synths, laid-back beats and limpid guitars. Think Childish Gambino fronting Stereolab. Triathalon’s gauzy music is more a soundtrack for slipping through the cracks and disappearing.
