Are you looking for a car booster seat for your dog? If so, Urban Pet, which caters to dogs, cats and eventually saltwater fish and opened Nov. 3, is the place for you. Owner Tim Everhart, who has been in the pet products industry for over 13 years, says that he carries "everything to treat dogs like children," including unique Vera Bradley carriers, a dog stroller, scented pet shampoo and collegiate collars with ribbons. "These products aren't for country dogs," he says. "These are for pet owners who live in town, metropolitan people." With the sale of dogs, he especially wants to "show people you can be a pet store and humane at the same time. If [the dogs] don't sell, they'll just go home with me," he says.
