ASID SHOWHOUSE SEMINAR The Art Of Wine Collection & Cellaring will be offered October 1 at Ratcliffe on the Green, 425 South Tryon St. Self-guided tour of the condo showhouse starts at 6pm, followed by vintage wine tasting, lecture, and tutored tasting of Burgundy and Bordeaux wines. ARTHUR'S WINE CLASSES 4400 Sharon Rd. Two-session classes coming up include: "Wines of Australia and New Zealand" on October 1 & 8, 6:30-8pm; "Spanish Wines" on October 2 & 9, 6:30-8pm. Light snacks and bread will be served. $39 per person. Call 704-366-8610.

CAROLINA WINE CLUB Evening classes run from 6:30-8pm. All classes are held at the Mint Museum of Craft + Design. Cost is $100 for any four sessions or $30 per individual session. CHARLOTTE SHOUT CULINARY VILLAGE will be held at Gateway Pavilion, in Gateway Village on North Trade St., October 3, 5-10pm; October 4, 3-11pm and October 5 12-11pm. There will be demonstrations, contests and lectures and all of Charlotte's top restaurants, beer and wine distributors will be represented. Wine lectures and seminars throughout the weekend. FOOD AND WINE OF THE MEDITERRANEAN with Prestige Wines and Adam's at Ballantyne. La Bibliotheque owner Adam Kantback and guest host Smoky Bissell have teamed with Prestige Wines for food and wine that celebrate the Mediterranean. JOHNSON AND WALES LOCAL ALUMNI COOKING SEMINAR & WINE PAIRING The world's friendliest food wines with Master of Wine Bob Betz. Join Charlotte Taste, The Wine Shop and several local Johnson and Wales graduates for a tasting and cooking demonstration at the Piedmont Natural Gas Test Kitchen on October 2 at 6pm.
