Pizza Peel & Tap Room hosts fall party for Halloween

Pizza is synonymous with just about everything fun and exciting in the world. Got a promotion? Awesome, let’s celebrate with pizza. It’s your birthday? Awesome, let’s order pizza. It’s Tuesday morning? Awesome, let’s eat some pizza! See? Easy. So, it won’t come as a surprise, then, when I mention that Pizza Peel & Tap Room in Cotswold is bringing in Halloween with their Fall Party on Saturday, Oct. 29.

This event is family-oriented so if you’ve got kids and need to feed them, why not? If you don’t have kids and don’t want to borrow anyone else’s, well then, just come and enjoy yourself. There will be a costume contest (with a judging at 4 p.m.), a pumpkin carving contest (so bring your A-game) and a pizza-eating contest! Holy pepperoni!

If that’s not enough, there’s also face painting, a visit from Monkey Joe and an appearance from Magic Barry the Magician involved. I’m pretty sure the last time I sat in front of a magician, I was pissed he wouldn’t let me keep the bunny he pulled out of his hat. OK, maybe I’m still pissed.

For all you grown folks, there are also award-winning fish tacos to be consumed and live music by The Testosterones to enjoy while you reminisce about your own childhood. This all-day event will begin at 11 a.m. and go till 11 p.m. Pizza Peel & Tap Room is located at 4422 Colwick Road.
