After the age of 12, your shoes should not light up

Recently while out of town visiting family, I came across a fashion faux pas that just made me laugh: light-up Air Force Ones. The set that I stumbled across was worn by a 17-year-old. In fact, he wanted these shoes so badly, he told me, that he bought them even though they were two sizes too big. He said he wanted to bring them back into style.

What? Shouldn't you be out of that light-up shoe phase by 11 or 12 years of age? What is it about bringing attention to your kicks with flashing lights?

I tried searching online to see how widespread they are, and it's kind of a stretch. You could probably find them on eBay. Another site, KicksIn.com, has them as well.

Of course, if you type in "light-up shoes" in a Google search bar, these will often show up in the results. Haha.
