What a great headline.
Shoplifting is all too commonplace nowadays with the bad economy, but this might top the cake.
The Charlotte Observer reports that Antonio Dewayne Harris is accused of stealing air fresheners from a local Food Lion. The estimated total cost of air fresheners stolen? $140.
Police say they're familiar with Harris, a cross-dresser who's been locked up for shoplifting and stealing people's identities.
Now what a 24-year-old man who dresses like a woman needs with $140 worth of air fresheners is beyond me. Any ideas?

After years under the chins of the pocket-protector crowd, the bow tie is cool. It now appears on "Gossip Girl" characters, fashion runways and sports stars -- as well as young hipsters.
Five-finger discounts aren't just for teenagers anymore.
Managers at upscale shops say they're seeing more shoplifters than ever before as the country's cash flow problems force well-dressed and often monied women to find alternative ways to look good.
