Posted By on Mon, Dec 14, 2009 at 4:43 PM

Today's gift guide is for those cultural folks, the lover of the arts, put together by our listings editor and arts writer Anita Overcash.

• Tom Clarks’ gnome creations come in a variety of styles and sizes. His newest, annual Christmas statue, “Ike,” honors former President David Eisenhower and features a gnome teaching a snowman to play golf. How cute! To see it, and others, go here.

•  Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s newest album, Night Castle, is a double-disc with 26 tracks. It’s only $9.99 on www.amazon.com.

Jennifer Mecca’s whimsical pottery can be found at Wooden Stone in Davidson.

• Art, jewelry, pottery (they have works by potter Jennifer Mecca too), and other pieces of art, make up Lark & Key Gallery and Boutique. My number one recommendation would be a dreamy painting (large or small) by local artist Duy Huynh.

• You can find an assortment of items, including mugs, coasters, belt buckles, and jewelry, that pay homage to Frida Kahlo at Pura Vida Worldly Art. In addition, the store offers an assortment of art and home décor of all types.
