Welcome to Charlotte the Carolinas' chapter of the world's first nonprofit wedding wish granting organization.
This Thursday, there will be an official launch party for Wish Upon a Wedding at The Lounge at Phillips Place (6706 Phillips Place Ct., Suite B), from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. on June 24. The evening will be filled with food from Nolen Kitchen and Eat Here Now, beer from Lonerider Brewery, cocktails and live entertainment.
You should totally support this organization. Why? Because Wish Upon a Wedding provides weddings at destinations throughout the U.S. for individuals facing life-threatening illness, regardless of sexual orientation.
The first time I ever wore eyelash extensions, I fell in love with myself. Yeah, OK, that's a little narcisstic of me, but hey, I was gorgeous.
If you're a lover of the fake eyelash, you should check out this event tomorrow evening. Ten By Ten Eyelashes brings you Glam Girls Night Out on Wednesday, June 23.
This event will feature light hors d'oeuvers and cocktails, a live semi-permanent eyelash extension demonstrations, spa give-a-ways and much more. RSVP by e-mailing Karen@tenbytenlashes.com TODAY!
Isnt one supposed to get a little stressed before a gala? What to wear? is a fitting question for some of us who typically experience pre-dressing chaos. After all, galas and dressing-up usually go together. Usually, but not always, as we learn from Jeans and Jewels, a benefit for 24 Hours of Booty (a 24-hour cycling event that raises awareness and funds to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation and local cancer organizations). The particularly laid-back dress code of this gala happening on June 26 at the Carillon Building Uptown entails a combo of both formal (as in jewelry) and casual (as in jeans or jean skirts, dresses, vests, etc.). Yeah, dressing for this gala is that easy can you believe it? The shindig will feature a fashion show, appetizers and drinks, a silent auction and raffle. For more information, visit www.jeansandjewelscharlotte.com. Tickets are $45-$50. 7 p.m. Carillon Building, 227 W. Trade St.

The reason I bought my shoes was because my favorite skater Stefan Janoski designed them!
I like to do my dad a favor on Fathers Day and not get him a tie or socks. I love those smaller, more personal shops like the ones at Ballantyne Village or Phillips Place, and I dont spend any more money there than I would on a tie, but I end up getting something that I know my dad will actually like. Best of all, I dont have to deal with the last minute Wal-Mart shoppers.
Check out some of these local shops for great Fathers Day Sales:

Today I felt like doing a little dress, and to put in some color. Since its all black I did blue and yellow cause I love the two colors together. And its so hot outside so as little clothes as possible is good!
How could you possibly NOT want to check out an event with this awesome flyer?

The festivities begin at 8:30 p.m. with DJs Chang and Sleazy McQueen, outdoor bars, live breakdancing expo and more. Bonus: It's a free event!
Yes, I am well aware that I'm late to this video posting, BUT, if I'm late, then others must be too!
Heels.com is a locally owned business did you catch that? As in here in Charlotte! that sends out hundreds of shoes each day. (In fact, we wrote up a little something something last year, which you can find here.)
Here's a video of a behind-the-scenes look into their warehouse. I know you're curious.
