Charlotte NC Fashion Week organizer Anthony Simmons and model/runway trainer Alva Page appeared on Fox News Rising this morning to talk about this week's events. Here's the video.
Black Friday is only 10 Fridays away, and DealNews has posted its list of predictions for Black Friday deals.
Here are a few:
The best bang for your HDTV buck will be a budget 55" 1080p LCD TV. Prices are down 25% from one year ago. In fact, 55" LCD HDTVs are now cheaper than 52" LCD HDTVs, and have been since May. Expect to see a 55" 1080p LCD TV for $799.
A cheap Blu-ray player is a guaranteed draw for Black Friday. Expect to find a deal at $45. A new type of Blu-ray player has emerged as a must-have item: Netflix-enabled Blu-ray players. For Black Friday season, we're predicting a price of $69.
A Nintendo wii will probably go for $99 ... that's 50 percent off the current list price.

Ah, pish posh. Go out and help them celebrate their grand opening in a new spot ... now at the Ballantyne Quad, near On the Roxx.
They will be having hors d'oeuvres, wine, and fun while you check out their new fall collection. Afterward, On The Roxx will have exclusive Jordanos drink specials.
Some people might hear about Charlotte NC Fashion Week and think, "What a crock. There's no fashion scene here." But others, like the folks behind PLITZS Fashion Marketing who are producing this three-day event, see the potential the Queen City has to offer. Unbeknownst to many people in our fair city, there are actually a number of talented, fashion-forward designers, boutiques and stylists here, and Charlotte NC Fashion Week promises to showcase their work. This year's theme is "City Confidential: The Fashion Chronicles," which will "highlight the city's growth and budding fashion scene." During the day, BofA's Founders Hall will play host to vendor fairs, workshops featuring local boutiques and other networking opportunities. The main event will take place each evening, featuring a VIP reception and runway shows and if the outfits parading down the catwalk are anything like last year's, you'll walk away inspired. $36 and up. Sept. 23-25. Workshops and networking events begin at noon each day; VIP reception at 6:30 p.m.; runway show at 8 p.m. Bank of America Urban Garden and Founders Hall, 100 N. Tryon St. For more information, visit www.charlottencfashionweek.com.

Piercing addict, that which I am not (I've had both my eyebrow and my belly button pierced, and took both out soon afterward), I have news for you.
House of Pain Tattoo and Body Piercings is offering you a "buffet" kind of deal this weekend: All you can get pierced for $30.
Jeez. I can't even imagine.
Now, I realize this isn't really "shopping-related" ... but I didn't know where else to put this. I mean, it's KIND of a sale, isn't it?
So, happy piercing!
If you cant hear her coming from miles away, you can certainly see her. Lady Gaga and an assortment of costume changes are on their way to the Queen City. Charlotte is one of the many stops for Lady Gagas Monster Tour, which will be held at Time Warner Cable Arena at 8 p.m. on Sept. 18. Get ready to Just Dance with Gaga and her multiple outfit changes. Youll experience a plethora of extremely original and quite interesting costumes. But, just remember just because something is original doesnt make it a hit!
Here we take a look at some past looks.
These studs turned out to be a total dud for Lady Gaga at the Monster Ball in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For Gaga, its boring and dull. It lacks that special something that shes notorious for bringing on stage. Not to mention, the two-piece set does nothing for her gorgeous figure. Black leather and studs are so last year. Come on Gaga. Its a definite miss. (Photo Credit: MSN Celebrity)
White is the color of innocence but shes not fooling us. Lady Gaga looks slinky and sexy in this detailed white mini dress. The contrast of the midnight black lashes against the stark white dress creates a sultry look for Gaga. Sexy, short and to the point. Its a hit. (Photo Credit: Buzzfoto.com)
Lady Gaga, didnt your mommy ever tell you to keep your pants on? Here the superstar was photographed with pants on during a dress rehearsal (Oh the horror!), so she decided she needed to change things up before the performance. She took matters into her own hands and wore the same outfit again this time, without pants. The pattern is plain ugly. Whether its a onesy or pants, it looks like the pattern of a Dutch grandmothers plate set. The hat tops it off if only she had some wooden shoes. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
