Worst dressed at the Oscars

For as many wardrobe changes that Anne Hathaway took part in, she looked looked flawless in all of them. But some of the ladies on the red carpet couldn't even pull off even one look — apparently they need to hire a stylist to the status of Rachel Zoe. Let's look at the ladies who could have done better.

Melissa Leo in Marc Bouwer

You would have thought that this two-time nominee (now winner) would dress like a nominee. This gold and lace dress makes me think of a cheap plastic table cover. I think if you look close enough, you will see the reflection of the photographers looking away at this horrible piece of work.

Marisa Tomei in Charles James Couture

This look on Marisa Tomei is as though she is doing the walk of shame in a bad bridesmaid gown. There is so much wrong with this dress, I don't know where to start. I don't know why designers feel the need to give dresses a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde look. The bodice is a boring navy while the skirt starts out as an ill-fitted extension of the bodice then into this out-of-control tulle.

Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior

This Dior gown has been coined the fancy napkin dress. I know it is important to take red carpet risks, but this risk looks like it belongs on the table of one of the after parties. And the orange shoes ....I am all about the bright shoes that make the outfit pop but these shoes are not it.

Scarlett Johansson in Dior

Did Scarlett Johansson think this look is sexy? Was she trying to make the ex jealous? Because if I were him, I would be thinking she looks like a hot mess. What is sad is that this dress really had potential. I love the cranberry color and the lace. It is the bodice that loses me — and that straight of bed hair.
