It is no surprise that with the condition of our economy, the image of Charlotte would soon shift away from a dominating banking city. Now, it appears that local bankers have been replaced with fashion professionals who have one mission in mind: Turn Charlotte into a fashion hub.
This movement is being lead by the|Fashion House, a new company in Charlotte. Their purpose is to provide fashion niche marketing for boutiques and independent designers. What does that mean? As noted on their online blog, the|Fashion House utilizes innovative event production, viral promotions, personalized PR strategies and creative branding to create experiences for clients.
We really want to focus on the fact that we are merging fashion and philanthropy so that it is truly fashion with a purpose, says Jameka Whitten, Director of Business Operations for the|Fashion House, Fashion that is fun, entertaining and that means something.
And the|Fashion House has achieved just that with its quarterly signature event Fashion Friday. On March 27, Fashion Friday in association with LA East Boutique presents: Christian Audigier at Kiss Lounge. This event will introduce the Amped 4-A-Cure Concert Series: Supporting Cancer Research Through Music. In addition, there will be a live performance from Small Doses, a band out of Wilmington, N.C., a fashion show and giveaways. The show will be hosted by Creative Loafings own Brittney Cason, and Tommy DeCarlo, from the legendary band Boston will make a special appearance. A portion of proceeds will benefit cancer research. For more information about this event, email ff@fashion-friday.com or visit www.fashion-friday.com.
Im so excited about the |Fashion Houses potential and what it will mean to the fashion and style industry here in Charlotte. We have an incredibly talented team, and we definitely have some surprises up our sleeves for the Queen City, says Whitten.
