The dance crew Fanny Pak was supposed to perform last night at Kiss Lounge, but according to some pretty important people, they missed their flight. Boo.
Despite the letdown, folks were still busting their own signature moves on the dance floor and having a good time.
When it's cold outside on a Wednesday night, people like to go to cozy spots, sip on some alcohol and converse while listening to some decent music. Last night, Rushmore Drive, the Charlotte-based Black search engine, sponsored Pop Life at Apostrophe Lounge, with music from Charlotte's best DJ Team, as voted by Creative Loafing, the Fresh Catz (Justice and Fraser).
People came out to play in their Halloween costumes at Whisky River Tuesday night. Ladies looked sexy and guys looked very manly in Superman, fire fighter, and Rambo costumes. Unfortunately, none of the costumes we saw seemed very unique! You have two more days, people, to show us what you've got!

It isn't quite Halloween yet, but these folks decided to get their costumes on anyway for a "Roaring 20s" themed 30th birthday party at Madison's. It was quite Great Gatsby-esque!
Uptown magazine hosted their "Charlotte's Sexiest" party at HOM on Friday night. The 7 sexiest people, chosen by the magazine, auctioned off their gift packages to benefit the Make a Wish foundation at the party. One package went for $7,000!
Sexual Chocolate Thursdays at The Garden & Gun club are filled with silky and smooth soulful house music with DJ Johnnie Davis.
