The 3rd Annual Girl Power Rockfest was held at the Evening Muse and Chop Shop on July 6, 2012. The event took place on three different stages — outside/inside the Chop Shop and at the Muse — to provide a wide variety of sounds and styles by female-fronted or female-focused bands. Joie, Lo Ultimo, Chasing Pedestrians and The Local Traumatic held court at the Muse while Sy Arden and Devin Elizabeth were solo performers on the outside Chop Shop stage. The Captain's Beardaversary was held on June 28, 2012, at Growlers Pourhouse as a fundraiser for Beards Because, who have been helping the Battered Women's Shelter of Charlotte.
