Shooting rampage leaves six people dead:

Isaac Zamora, 28, surrendered to police after allegedly shooting six people to death Tuesday. Among the dead were construction workers, motorists, and a sheriff's deputy. Bodies were found at multiple crime scenes, according to the police. The suspect led police on a chase that reached speeds of 90 miles per hour. AP via CNN

Tropical Storm Hanna may hit United States:

Tropical Storm Hanna is expected to rip through the Bahamas, and make U.S. landfall by Friday or Saturday. Hanna is blamed for 23 deaths in Haiti. It is likely that Hanna will strengthen to a hurricane by the end of the week. Voice of America

Federal judge indicted in sex case:

U.S. District Dudge Samuel Kent is accused of abusive sexual contact with a subordinate.Houston Chronicle

Hearing on Detroit's mayor begins:

A specialist in contract law testified Tuesday that a private confidentiality agreement was part of a settlement to protect Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his chief of staff. Michigan's Gov. Jennifer Granholm heard testimony Wednesday to help her decide whether to remove Kilpatrick from office because of allegations of misconduct. AP via MSNBC
