The N.C. Justice Center has released some fact sheets on employment and income for several of the state's largest counties. The numbers are culled mostly from Census data. Check them out here. There's not too much surprising about Mecklenburg County's stats overall, we're doing better economically than state average but it's worth noting that more than one-fourth of county residents were low-income, meaning their incomes were less than twice the federal poverty level ($21,027 for a family of four).
