U.S. last in National Geographic 'Greendex' survey

Posted By on Mon, May 18, 2009 at 4:13 PM

According to National Geographic and the international polling company GlobeScan, the United States is at or near the bottom of the list of environmentally friendly countries. NatGeo released the results of its annual Greendex survey, which ranks 17 nations according to how they are dealing with a variety of environmental issues, and whether the countries are making progress toward environmentally sustainable consumption. From the results, it looks as if America, Canada and Australia are leading the world in snack-eating lazy people who live in giant homes and care little for local foods or public transportation. Check out the full survey results.
