Matthews Playhouse prepares for Cinderella

Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts will present performances of the classic fairy tale, Cinderella at Matthews Community Center June 12-28. For more information, read the press release below.

Matthews NC- This June, the Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts will stage the popular Rodgers and Hammerstein musical CINDERELLA.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA follows the familiar rags to riches story of Cinderella. Just like the classic story, all of your favorite characters are here: The Fairy Godmother, The Chaming Prince, The King and Queen, The Stepfamily and of course, Cinderella.

This magical retelling of this story is directed by: Jamey Varnadore, choreographed by Lisa Blanton, and musically directed by: Lynn Mitchell. The show features some of Rodgers and Hammerstein's catchiest tunes such as "Impossible" "Ten Minutes Ago" and "In My Own Little Corner" and boasts a talented cast that includes Lauren Ballard, Steve Bryan, Alex Goley, and Allyson Ware.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA runs from June 12th with various performance dates and times through June 28th. Tickets are $17.00 for adults and $15.00 for students and seniors. All perfromances are held in the Matthews Community Center, located in Downtown Matthews.
