Idiots and Angels is labeled a dark comedy film about a man named Angel and his struggle to lose his wings. Yeah, apparently the wings appeared overnight. First, the wings are associated with doing good deeds, a way of life unfamiliar to the new bodily host. And second, folks are after him — and can you blame them? He’s got wings coming out of his body, for cryin’ out loud. Cartoonist and animator Bill Plympton is the mastermind behind this film, a new one to add to his feature collection, which includes others like The Tune, Mondo Plympton, I Married A Strange Person, Mutant Aliens and Hair High. Be sure to check out this film screening of Idiots and Angels at McGlohon Theatre on Thursday, June 18. Contains adult content. $10-$12. 7 p.m. McGlohon Theatre, 345 N. College St. 704-333-9755. www.lightfactory.org.
