Oh, sorry. It wasn't discovered by us (hope you didn't get too excited). But, it is kind of amusing that Chester County authorities "scouted a large marijuana field for several days before conducting a raid," according to The Charlotte Observer. Very primal of them.
Chester County Sheriff Richard Smith said a tip from someone he declined to name led to information there was a (marijuana) field.Authorities found nine fields of the plants Darby Road near the county airport, and two suspects were in custody, but others fled on foot. No one could verify how many suspects were at large, but authorities said they estimated the number at between two and four.
They plan to burn the huge amount of ganja they found, estimated to be 40,000 plants standing 5 feet tall.
The marijuana plants will be disposed of today, Nichols said. Burning them is usually the protocol. Side effects of the smoke are not a concern because the plants will be burned in an open area, he explained.
Seriously, don't our hard-working law enforcement officers have anything better to do besides hunt down local farmers and burn their crops? Perhaps they should sample some of their new found stash (and share it with their unnamed informant) and chill out a little bit.
