The South Carolina governor is passing up more work for another woman. This time it's his wife--so Mark Sanford says.
Wednesday, the Associated Press reported that Sanford's staff said he would be taking the rest of the week off for a personal trip with his wife.
It's hard to believe what comes out of that office because when Sanford was poking his Soul Mate in Argentina, the staff said he was "hiking the Appalachian Trail."
So, Sanford's taking off again. How much vacation does a governor get? While South Carolina is dealing with the aftermath of a serial killer in Gaffney, Myrtle Beach is losing police officers because they're mooning families at the beach while the city struggles to get visitors in this down economy, Sanford is going on vacation again.
Granted, there isn't much the governor can do in those situations, but wouldn't it be nice to know that the leader of the state is actually focused on affairs of the state and not the stimulus package in his pants?
