Zombies invade the Q.C.

Posted By on Fri, Oct 9, 2009 at 12:17 PM

Be on the look out for zombies in the Q.C. on Sun., Oct.11, from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m.,when the third annual Charlotte Zombie Walk brings Charlotteans together for a shindig of the undead. It might not be Halloween yet, but at this outing you can dress in your zombie best for a prowl through the streets of Charlotte. This is going to end up looking a little like a scene from Night of the Living Dead. Scary stuff … and it’s all for a good cause too. The event kicks off at Phil’s Tavern with the Red Cross’ Blood Drive (from 12 p.m.-4:30 p.m.) and a Canned Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Donations will also be accepted at the event for Costumes for Kids, a charity that helps provide disabled children with Halloween costumes.
