Charlotte Clean and Green Festival

Posted By on Fri, Apr 15, 2011 at 8:00 AM

You don’t have to be a recycling fanatic to attend the Charlotte Clean And Green Festival, but you should have interest and hopes in a brighter, greener future. The environmentally-geared event happening on Sun., April 17 (originally scheduled for Saturday, but changed due to the weather forecast) features seminars (on home-efficiency, remodeling and building, green living, solar photovoltaic, green careers and more), a hands-on learning tent with tips on gardening, vendors showcasing eco-friendly products and services, food by culinary students and chefs, live music by John Tosco, arts and crafts, an electronics recycling collection and more. For more information, visit http://festival.charlottecleanandgreen.com. Free. 10 a.m. Central Piedmont Community College, 1201 Elizabeth Ave. 704-330-2722.
