Duke Energy still wants to raise your rates

Posted By on Wed, Nov 23, 2011 at 11:37 AM

Let's think about this: Until yesterday, Duke Energy wanted to raise the electricity rates of North Carolina residents by 15 percent (though some groups opposing the rate hike estimate the average bill would actually rise more than that). Now, Duke Energy says it only wants to raise your rates by 12 percent.

That's a three-percent savings! Right?

Now, watch this video. (Do it!)

Don't you feel thankful that you get to pay more for electricity from your only choice of an energy provider?

If the answer is 'no', watch the video again and think about how you'll only be paying a portion of what you could have been paying.

While you're at it, say that last sentence out loud five times real fast. (Do it!)
