Charlotte Dance Festival returns

For two-days (Feb. 24-25), the Charlotte Dance Festival brings together a range of dancers specializing in everything from ballet to hip-hop and Afro-fusion. The fest features a day-long schedule of classes for those seeking to fancy up their footwork, in addition to three Dance Charlotte performances.

Professional dance companies and choreographers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and New York include E.E. Motion, Kim Jones, Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance, Moving Spirits' Tamara LaDonna, Starr Foster Dance Project and Sapphire Moon Dance Company (pictured above). Fri., Feb. 24, 8 p.m. and Sat., Feb. 25, 5:30 & 8 p.m. performances. $10-$20 for performances; $20-$65 for classes.
