Speakeasy at Prohibition

The roaring 1920s were a time of glammy pizzazz. Flappers and greasy-headed gangsters just looked sharp, making themed affairs like the upcoming SpeakEasy an attractive night out on the town. Attire from the '20s is encouraged (and you could even win a prize if your outfit is the best). Gaming tables and live music jazz things up. Admission cost gets you in and includes one free specialty martini or moonshine drink. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association. $10. March 30, 7 p.m. Prohibition, 200 N. Tryon St. 704-358-4244. www.prohibitionclt.com.
