The Virginmarys at Neighborhood Theatre tonight (7/18/13)

The Virginmarys
After six years of touring and a few EP releases, English-born rockers The Virginmarys finally debuted their first full-length album, King of Conflict, earlier this year. The album boasts sounds of catchy, loud rock. The fierce guitar-driven tracks featured on King of Conflict bear a punk energy, yearning to be performed live. Cut with cleverly poignant wordplay and undeniable catchiness, the choruses come across anthemic, with loud, successive instrumentals to support the myriad of rock 'n' roll. Born in Macclesfield, England, frontman Ally Dickaty leads the three-piece outfit with screeching vigor as The Virginmarys make their way to American stages. With American Fangs. $7. July 18, 8 p.m. Neighborhood Theatre, 511 E. 36th St. 704-942-7997.
