First Drip (1/10/14): N.C. threatened with sanctions, millionaire Congress, more

The federal government is threatening North Carolina with sanctions for failing to address the state's food stamp application problems.

Frank McCain, one of the Greensboro Four who sat down and requested service at a whites-only counter at the F.W. Woolworth store on Elm Street in 1960 - helping to kick off the civil rights movement in the U.S. - died yesterday at the age of 71.

More than half the members of Congress are millionaires.
