First Drip First Drip (6/19/2015): Florist tip leads to Charleston shooter's capture

Investigators stated a tip from a local florist led them to capture Charleston shooting suspect Dylann Roof in Shelby on Wednesday. The woman said she recognized the suspect's car and haircut from police reports but was scared to call police until a friend convinced her. Roof has since confessed to killing nine people in a black church in Charleston on Tuesday night.
A daycare worker has been fired, but not charged, after leaving a 2-year-old in a car during North Carolina's harshest heat streak of the year. The girl was left in a van that belonged to Operation New Life Child Development Center in Chapel Hill for six hours, according to her mother. The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon in near-100-degree temperatures and garnered national media coverage. The girl is reportedly in good condition, but was dehydrated.
Authorities have re-opened Billy Graham Parkway after a car wreck took one person's life early this morning. The northbound lanes of the parkway between Tyvola Road and West Boulevard were closed for hours after a car ran off the road and burst into flames, taking the driver's life. The road re-opened at 7:30 a.m.
A 16-year-old boy whose left arm was amputated after being attacked by a shark off the North Carolina coast on Sunday has been released from the hospital, officials said. The boy was attacked about 200 yards off the beach at Oak Island. A 12-year-old girl who was also attacked nearby that day and also lost part of her left arm as a result is said to be in good condition.
North Carolina lawmakers have sent a bill to Gov. Pat McCrory's desk that would ease new voter identification laws. The bill outlines eight reasons for not having a photo ID that would allow voters falling within those boundaries to vote without one. The bill would also allow voters to use expired IDs.
