Northbound I-85 near North Tryon Street has reopened following a crash early this morning involving a tractor-trailer, but traffic is reduced to one lane as officials continue to investigate the scene. The accident occurred at around 4:30 a.m., when the tractor-trailer driver lost control and struck the concrete foundation of an overpass. The cab then caught fire. Though reports don’t indicate how many vehicles were involved in the crash, medics on the scene said two people were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials reopened one lane for morning commuters at 7:40 a.m., but the damaged North Tryon Street overpass leading to southbound I-85 remains closed. (WCNC Staff)

A Litaker reportedly shot another Litaker on Litaker Road in Salisbury last night. Police indicate that at around 9:45 p.m., Gotti Pacino Litaker was shot in a residence on Litaker Road in Salisbury. Responders found the Mafia-monikored Litaker suffering from a gunshot wound and witnesses at the scene identified the shooter as Keith Daniel Litaker, telling officers that he had fled after the incident. Reports don’t indicate if the men are related. Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Keith Daniel, who remains at large. (WBTV Web Staff)
An FBI investigation led to the arrest of a Statesville man named John White on child pornography charges on Tuesday. Investigators responded to a tip and searched White’s home, discovering pornographic images of young children. White faces 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree, and is being held by Iredell County police on $75,000 bond. (Fox46 Staff)
