A mother and daughter from Charlotte were rescued in New Zealand on Saturday after getting lost in the wilderness there for five days. Rachel Lloyd, a 22-year-old NC State student, and her mother Carolyn Lloyd, who still lives in Charlotte, were found thanks to giant signs reading "Help" that they created with palm fronds. A helicopter searching for the missing hikers saw the sign and found the women nearby. (Associated Press via WSOC)
