News Carlton Hargro

As Editor-in-Chief of the alternative newspaper Creative Loafing, Carlton Hargro directs the strategic editorial direction of Charlotte’s largest weekly publication. But his involvement with the newspaper extends far beyond managerial duties: Carlton also makes time to write Creative Loafing’s weekly comic book review column “Comic Proportions,” host the Internet-based music show Audiofloss.com, and host cultural/nightlife events around the Queen City. The recipient of a 2008 Urban League of Central Carolinas Leadership Award, Carlton is a graduate of Ball State University, where he studied magazine writing, and is a native of Gary, Indiana.
