Concert Announcement / News Concert announcement: My Morning Jacket

My Morning Jacket will perform at Time Warner Cable Uptown Amphitheatre on Aug. 21, with Neko Case. Tickets on sale on May 21.
The band's sixth full-length album, Circuital, will be released on May 31.

Concert Announcement / News 2011 Food Lion Speed Street performer announcements begin

The 2011 Food Lion Speed Street, taking place in Uptown Charlotte on May 26-28, has announced a handful of performers that will be at this year's event.
Josh Turner will be performing on the Coca-Cola Stage in front of the NASCAR Hall of Fame at 9:30 p.m. on May 27.
Everclear will be performing at 9:30 p.m. on May 27 on the Miller Lite Stage.
Starship featuring Mickey Thomas will peform on the Coca-Cola Stage on May 28 at 8:15 p.m. They will be followed by Eddie Money at 9:45 p.m.
Clay Walker will perform on the Miller Lite Stage at 9:30 p.m. on May 28.
UPDATE: Rose Royce will perform on the Coca-Cola Stage on May 26 at 9 p.m., followed by Midnight Star at 9:45 p.m.
Pat Green will play the Miller Lite Stage on May 26 at 9 p.m.

Held in downtown Athens, Ga., from June 22 to June 26, AthFest has been showcasing talent for 15 years.
This year's performers include headliners Futurebirds, Centro-Matic, Guadalcanal Diary, Chickasaw Mudd Puppies and Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit.

News / Concert Announcement Fridays at the Factory announces schedule

The N.C. Music Factory has announced its plans for Fridays at the Factory this year, which will include a concert series.
Taking place from 5 to 11 p.m. every Friday, rain or shine, the season will start on April 29 with a performance from Eve 6 and American Aquarium.
May 6 — Acoustic Syndicate
May 13 — Fuel and U-Phonik
May 20 — Cowboy Mouth and Simplified
May 27 — Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
June 3 — Tonic
June 10 — Vertical Horizon
June 17 — To Be Announced
Admission will be $5 per event or you can get an eight-week season pass for $20. VIP tickets will also be available.

John Butler Trio has announced its upcoming North American tour and it includes a date at Charlotte's Fillmore on July 21. Gomez is set to open.
