A Perfect Circle will perform on July 19 at Time Warner Cable Uptown Amphitheatre. No word yet on ticket sales...

The first announcement for a concert at Road Runner Mobile Amphitheatre was unleashed today, and it's a hard-hitting one in its own way. Defontes and Dillinger Escape Plan will perform at the outdoor pavilion on May 26.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m. via Live Nation and Ticketmaster outlets.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center always gets a number of great acts to perform over the summer. Things will kick off with the Spring Festival on April 15 and 16, with performances by Slaid Cleaves and JJ Grey on Friday and Bloodkin and Lucero on Saturday.

The free concerts at the River Jam start on May 5 with Lefty Williams. All shows are at 7 p.m.

Prince will be performing at Time Warner Cable Arena on March 24. Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 14. The Charlotte date is one of six planned for the Carolinas, with other shows including Greenville, Charleston and Columbia, S.C., as well as Raleigh and Greensboro.

Ryan Bingham & The Dead Horses will perform at Amos' Southend on June 7. $20 advance tickets go on sale on Friday, March 11 at 10 a.m.

Primus is coming to The Fillmore Charlotte on June 1 in support of a soon-to-be-released new album, the band's first since 1999.

The band currently consists of vocalist and bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde and original drummer Jay Lane.

Tickets go on sale Friday March 11 at 10am at LiveNation.com, The Fillmore Charlotte box office, Ticketmaster or charge by phone (800) 745-3000.

The A.W.O.L., or All Walks of Life, music festival has been announced for April 30 at Symphony Park.

The event will help raise money for organizations in the Charlotte area. Performers include Mike Posner, Simplified, Matrimony, Lucky Five and Sugar Glyder.

In addition to the music, a cornhole tournament, dance competition and freestyle battle are planned.

Tickets are $30 in advance through March 31. VIP is available for an additional $20.

Phish will return to the Queen City this summer. They've announced a June 17 date at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on the band's Web site. A limited number of tickets for the lawn ($45) and general admission pit and reserved seating ($60) are now available through the band's site, as well.

No word on when the tickets will go on sale to the general public.
