Legendary hip hop DJ, DJ Scratch, will be bringing his talents to Charlotte's Marigny on Sunday.
If his three Grammy nominations and more than 40 Gold and Platinum albums to his credit aren't enough for you, begin to the scan the list of artist's he's worked with and it's a virtual who's who of hip hop history, from Run DMC & Jam Master Jay to 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and even Spike Lee.
A must see for hip hop heads and music fans alike and it's FREE! 9 p.m., 21+, come dressed correct.

Robert Plant and the Band of Joy will be hitting North Carolina a few times on his upcoming tour.
Along with a Feb. 7 show at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, he'll kick off the tour on Jan. 18 in Asheville and hit Raleigh on Feb. 2.
If you missed her at the Gravedigger's Ball at Dixie's on Oct. 30, you'll have another chance to see Ke$ha when she performs at The Fillmore Charlotte on April 19, 2011. No word on when tickets go on sale.
Girl Talk is coming to The Fillmore Charlotte on Jan. 25, 2011. No word yet on ticket sales date.

Last month, JJ Grey was forced to cancel his Visulite Theatre performance due to food poisoning. Well, it won't take him too long to be back in Charlotte. His 2011 tour has just been announced, and he'll perform at the Visulite on Jan. 20.
The initial lineup for MerleFest has been announced. The festival will take place on the campus of Wilkes Community College on April 28 - May 1, 2011.

There's been a lot of buzz about the Washington D.C. rally that's taking place this weekend Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and Stephen Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive.
A lot of people have wondered what's going to happen. Now, the Christian Science Monitor is reporting that thanks to the permit for the event, there are a lot of TBD slots, but also a few details.
10:00 a.m.: The pre-pre-show begins with videos and music on the jumbotron to keep the gathering crowd friendly and entertained.Noon: The pre-show starts with a performance from The Roots.
12:40: A comedian (to be determined) warms up the audience.
12:57: A video countdown with a show introduction.
1:00: The show kicks off with the national anthem by a musical guest (to be announced).
1:05: Mr. Stewart welcomes the crowd.
1:20: Mr. Colbert enters, and two actors Don Novello and Sam Waterston perform readings.
1:40: Jeff Tweedy and Mavis Staple perform for 10 minutes, followed by Stewart and Colbert until 2 p.m.
2:15: Sheryl Crow performs for five minutes, followed by speakers and guests (to be determined).
2:30: Musical guests (also still being lined up) come on.
2:40: The show turns to a pre-taped sequence The Sanity and Fear Awards.
