Concert Announcement / News Concert announcement: Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli + Hi-Tek)

Hip hop heads rejoice, Reflection Eternal, better known as Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek, will be performing at Amos' Southend on Friday, June 11 at 8 p.m. Opening for them will be North Carolina-based super producer 9th Wonder's group, Actual Proof and The Mighty DJ DR.
18+, tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. You can purchase tickets online here.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival featuring Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Halestorm, Hellyeah, Airbourne, Hail the Villain and New Medicine will stop by the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on Sept. 1.
Tickets will go on sale on June 12.

Counting Crows will return to the Uptown Amphitheatre on July 14 with their Traveling Circus and Medicine Show. Augustana will also be with them again. Tickets go on sale on May 7.
Reminder from last year - get there early. Counting Crows starts the show on stage and the bands rotate all night.

Concert Announcement / News MerleFest this weekend

MerleFest is in full swing up in Wilkesboro, N.C. this weekend. The four-day event started yesterday and wraps up on Sunday.
Located roughly an hour and a half north of Charlotte, the festival has been paying tribute to Merle Watson since 1988.
Among Saturday's performers are Elvis Costello, Steve Martin with Steep Canyon Rangers, The Lee Boys, The Greencards and Larkin Poe (formerly konwn as the Lovell Sisters).
On Sunday, Jim Avett is scheduled to peform a one-hour set at 11:15 and his sons, The Avett Brothers are scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The inaugural Carnival of Madness Tour has announced 27 dates for this summer, including a July 27 date at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte.
The tour will feature Shinedown, Chevelle, Puddle Of Mudd, Sevendust and 10 Years.

Charlotte has been on the 2010 Lilith Tour map for quite some time now, but more details have finally emerged.
The show will take place on Friday, Aug. 6, at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Among the performers schedule to eperform are Sarah McLachlan, Kelly Clarkson, Jill Scott, Indigo Girls, Court Yard Hounds and more to be announced.
Tickets go on sale on May 1 at 10 a.m. A limited number of "Ladies Night 4-Pack" packages will be available for $99 — which includes four lawn tickets.

The Cool Tour, featuring As I Lay Dying, Underoath, Between the Buried and Me, Blessthefall, The Acacia Strain, Architects, Cancer Bats and War of Ages will play the Fillmore Charlotte on July 15.
