John Mayer's Battle Studies World Tour will kick off in Charlotte on July 16 with Train opening at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Other dates on the tour will be opened by Owl City or The Avett Brothers.

O.A.R. has annnounced dates for its summer tour and they include a stop at Charlotte's Uptown Amphitheatre on Aug. 13. Citizen Cope is the opener.
Tickets for O.A.R.s Summer Tour will go on pre-sale Wednesday, March 31st at 12 p.m. local time. Fans can go here to purchase Pre-Sale Tickets which provide fans with access to the best available seats. General sale for most dates will begin April 9th and 10th through various ticketing outlets. According to pollstar.com, Lynyrd Skynyrd will be performing at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on June 19 with 38 Special and Bret Michaels. No word on ticket sales dates yet... Stay tuned.
The Gruesome Twosome Tour with Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper will stop by the Uptown Amphitheatre on May 19. Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 26.
Insane Clown Posse will perform at the Uptown Amphitheatre on May 17 with Kottonmouth Kings, Coolio, Kittie and Necro. Tickets are on sale now.
Phish have announced their summer tour and it includes a stop at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on July 2.
The online request period for tickets for the summer trek is open now through March 16 via the band's site. The general public onsales begin on April 2.
Still no word on when they'll be in Charlotte, but here's the latest... The show in Atlanta will be on Aug. 8, so you can assume Charlotte will be close by to that one.
According to the site Much like the original Lilith Fair, there will be 11 artists on each date, with only two consistencies per show: the Lilith Local Talent Search Ourstage.com winner who starts the day and headliner Sarah McLachlan. The remaining acts on the line-up are constantly rotating from among more than 80 acts.
Korn will perform at The Fillmore Charlotte on May 3 as part of its Ballroom Blitz Tour. 2 Cents opens. Tickets on sale on Saturday, March 20.
