They're playing where?

Posted By on Wed, Mar 25, 2009 at 11:37 AM

A new concert listing has popped up online — The Offspring performing on July 14 at "The Boutique Amphitheatre at The N.C. Music Factory" with Sum 41 on their "The Shit is Fucked Up Tour."

Now, being that CL's office is in the Music Factory, you'd think we'd be aware of the new venue's opening... and while there are constantly workers over at The Fillmore, it doesn't look like they're working on the outdoor amphitheatre.

There is a boutique amphitheatre in Raleigh...but the listing says Charlotte. And, the N.C. Music Factory homepage does list the "Boutique Amphitheatre." So, we're going to say that it will be in Charlotte.

Stay tuned...

Just got word that soul legend India.Arie is coming back to the Queen City on May 6 — after a 7-year absence from our fair town.

The folks at The Sol Kitchen are promoting the show, which pops off at Amos' Southend and promises to spotlight India's classics as well as stuff from her latest CD: Testimony Vol. 2 - Love & Politics.

Tickets go on sale next week. I'd suggest getting yours as soon as they come available — a venue the size of Amos' will sell out.

A quick glance over at the Amos' Southend Web site and you can see there's a few concerts that have been recently added.

Among them, Snoop Doog who will be hitting the Q.C. on May 14. Tickets are $37.50 in advance and $40 on the day of the show.

Something tells me it could get real smoky in there...

Other bands scheduled to come to Amos' in the near future — New Found Glory (4/16), Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society w/ Sevendust (4/19), Flyleaf (5/12), TV on the Radio (6/11).
