Charlotte rock quartet Grown Up Avenger Stuff has released a video for their song "Pins." The song is a good example of the band's sound and energy — Deirdre Kroener's vocal range and power, guitarist John Thomsen's riffs, Hunter Thomsen's driving bass rhythms along with Tyler Thomsen's hammering drum skills.

A new four-part video series entitled, Out With the Old, takes a look at the Avett Brothers' performance at Time Warner Cable Arena for New Year's Eve last year. Documented by Crackerfarm, Part II of the series looks at some of Scott and Seth Avett's artwork, in addition to live performance and backstage footage from the show.
Charlotte indie-rock band Flagship has released a lyric video for its song "Waste Them All." The video uses images sent to the band by fans all over the world. It's no surprise that a good number of the photos are from the Queen City area.
The band's next area show is on Nov. 7 at Snug Harbor.

Junior Astronomers has started an Indiegogo fundraising page to raise $5,000 for a new band van. Singer Terrence Richard does his best MTV Cribs impression in the video, giving a tour of all of the van's working and non-working parts, trash and seats — which is well worth watching for seven minutes of entertainment.
So far, the band has raised $1,250 with more than 50 days left to go in the campaign.
Blues Traveler was in Charlotte last weekend to headline the Charlotte Beerfest. It looks like lead singer/harmonica player John Popper just didn't get enough performing time, perhaps, as he popped in at Smokey Joe's Cafe later that night to join the Cramerton-based cover band Blind Manifest.
The full-length trailer for Foo Fighters Sonic Highways has been released. The HBO series is not only a look at the creation of the Foo Fighters' new album, but a look at the roadmap of American music. The series premieres on HBO on Oct. 17 at 11 p.m.
Concord's The Avett Brothers have released a 14-minute video commemorating their 10th visit to the legendary Red Rocks music venue in Colorado. Produced by Crackerfarm, the footage includes performance clips, interviews and even a bit of Bob Weir, who recently canceled all of his tour dates.
